Attend the Ultimate Italian Wine Face-off in Zurich

Next weekend, Matter of Taste is returning to Zurich for its third edition, featuring a Grand Walkabout Tasting with over 600 iconic wines from more than 150 wineries around the world, an over-the-top BYO dinner and a series of masterclasses—the largest fine wine experience in Europe open to the public.

Tua Rita makes one of Italy’s legendary Merlot-based wines, Redigaffi, and that wine would shine the spotlight on the great winemaking potential of the beautiful Tuscan Coast. This same winery makes the Syrah-based Per Sempre, a game-changer in its own right.

Join Italy reviewer Monica Larner and Tua Rita proprietor and winemaker Stefano Frascolla for the ultimate face-off tasting in an epic masterclass, pitting back vintages of Redigaffi against Per Sempre.

"I liked the idea of doing a face-off between two of my favorite wines made by Tua Rita on the Tuscan Coast," Larner says. "The Redigaffi—a pure expression of Merlot—gained praise and attention of wine critics including Robert Parker spanning back to the 1980s. However, today, my taste buds are even more attracted to the estate’s electric Syrah Per Sempre. To my mind, this is the finest Syrah made in Italy."

Don’t delay, and get you’re tickets today. We’ll see you there.
