More Wildfire Relief Efforts in the North Bay Area

Fires continue to blaze throughout Northern California’s Wine Country, and the losses have been devastating: an estimated 20,000 people have been displaced from their homes, 31 people have died, and hundreds are still missing. Businesses, including wineries and farms, have burned to the ground.
Though wine industry leaders have been providing immediate support and assistance, they are calling for nationwide help. Ann Petersen, executive director of Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley, is working with other local industry leaders to help those In need. Necessities include water tanks, generators, tractors/trailers, lodging and tents, and volunteer labor for affected vineyards; those wanting to lend a hand can sign this form.
In Paso Robles, wineries are donating $1 per bottle of wine sold through the month of October to the Sonoma County Resilience Fund, Napa Valley Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Mendocino County to aid wildfire victims. Both visitors and locals are encouraged to purchase wine directly from their local wine shop—a list of participating wineries is continually being updated.
These and other community-wide fundraising efforts are being organized with the hashtag #CAWineStrong—follow along social platforms for the most up-to-date information.

Update 10/13: The Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund has been reactivated. Those wishing to make donations can contribute via the Community Foundation of Napa Valley’s website. The Community Foundation plans to begin distributing funds to those in need in the coming days.
Treasury Wine Estates is donating $100,000 to support affected wildfire victims of Napa and Sonoma. The donation will be split between the Napa Valley Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund and the Sonoma County Community Foundation Resilience Fund. Treasury Wine Estates encourages the community to join in their efforts.
The Wine Rayzyn Company is donating 1% of October online sales from Rayzyn.com to the Napa Community Foundation.
San Luis Obispo County has set up a GoFundMe page; donations will be divided equally among the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund, The Community Foundation of Mendocino County Disaster Fund and the Community Foundation Sonoma County, Sonoma County Resilience Fund.
