Next month, Matter of Taste is returning to Napa Valley for its second edition. Taking place at the Culinary Institute of America at Copia in association with Feast It Forward Foundation, wine lovers will be delighted to take part in a Grand Walkabout Tasting featuring over 200 wines from around the world (and all rated 93 points or higher by our troop of reviewers), as well as a series of Masterclasses, including Napa’s Grand Cru Terroirs - Beckstoffer Vineyards.
With over 40 years of experience as one of the region’s top growers, today, Andy Beckstoffer and his team farm more than 1,000 acres in the Napa Valley. Beckstoffer Vineyards is custodian to some of Napa’s greatest and most historic sites, including famous names like To Kalon, Dr. Crane and Georges III. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to taste a range of some of the very best expressions of those vineyards, led by Andy Beckstoffer and Robert Parker Wine Advocate critic for Napa Valley, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, MW, as well as winemakers Benoit Touquette (Realm, Fait-Main and Kata) and Jean Hoefliger (Alpha Omega, The Debate).
Guests will sip on an array of great wines, including the 2013 Kata Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard, the 2013 Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III and the 2013 Myriad Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian Reserve—rated a perfect 100 points.
