5 100-Point Wines From Issue 245

Nearly 3,500 wine tasting notes were published in our latest Wine Advocate issue, and, of the bunch, five received a perfect rating of 100 points. Three of the 100-pointers came from Lisa Perrotti-Brown’s in-depth article on the history and latest developments at Château Mouton Rothschild, including tasting notes going back to the legendary 1945 vintage.

Without further ado, here are the five 100-point wines from Wine Advocate Issue 245. Happy hunting.

“The satiny texture/ripeness of tannins is simply incredible!”

“Full-bodied, the palate truly lets off the flavor fireworks, giving up loads of citrus, stone fruit, pears and savory flavors plus a racy backbone, finishing very long and very moreish.”

“I was blown away by the 2016 Finca Piedra Infinita, a wine I have been anticipating because I’ve seen the progression of the wine over the last few years.”

“Magic.”

“The overall character is paradoxical: at once profoundly mature and yet so jaw-droppingly youthful. If this finish does not bring a tear to your eyes, nothing will.”
